Image generation API pricing: FLUX, Imagen, Nano Banana and GPT Image at every provider

Image models are sold two ways. Most of them - FLUX, Imagen, Recraft, Stable Diffusion - cost a fixed price per image. Google's Nano Banana and OpenAI's GPT Image are priced per token, like text models: the generated picture is output tokens, so a bigger or more detailed picture costs more. Every model below has a page with today's prices: all image models.

The price per image in one list

In the 27 October 2026 collection:

• FLUX.1 [schnell] (Black Forest Labs) - $0.0005 at DeepInfra, $0.003 at Replicate. The cheapest picture in the catalog.
• FLUX.1 [dev] - $0.009 at DeepInfra, $0.014 at SiliconFlow, $0.025 at Replicate.
• FLUX.2 [pro] - $0.015 at DeepInfra, $0.03 at SiliconFlow, $0.06 at CometAPI. FLUX.2 [max] - $0.08-0.10.
• FLUX1.1 [pro] - $0.04 at DeepInfra, Replicate, SiliconFlow and Vercel alike; Kontext [pro] for editing - $0.04, Kontext [max] - $0.08.
• FLUX 3 Image - $0.048 at Vercel; FLUX 3 Image Klein - $0.009.
• Imagen 4 (Google, on Vertex AI) - $0.06; Imagen 4 Fast - $0.02; Imagen 4 Ultra - $0.06.

So a picture costs from a twentieth of a cent (FLUX schnell) to ten cents (FLUX.2 max) - two hundred times over.

The token-priced models

• Nano Banana (Gemini image models) - DeepInfra lists the image output at $30 per 1M tokens for Nano Banana 2 Lite, $60 for Nano Banana 2 and $120 for Nano Banana Pro. Several other providers show only the text-token price on their page - read the card before comparing.
• GPT Image 2 - $5 per 1M input and $30 per 1M output tokens at most providers; the details are in our GPT Image 2 article. For these models count the output tokens of one of your own pictures first: size and quality change the bill several times over.

What a thousand pictures cost

By the 27 October prices, 1,000 images:

• FLUX.1 [schnell] - $0.50 at DeepInfra.
• FLUX.1 [dev] - $9.
• Imagen 4 Fast - $20.
• FLUX1.1 [pro] - $40.
• Imagen 4 - $60.
• FLUX.2 [max] - $80-100.

The same model, different providers

• FLUX.1 [dev]: Replicate charges almost three times DeepInfra's price.
• FLUX.2 [pro]: from $0.015 at DeepInfra to $0.06 at CometAPI - four times.
• FLUX1.1 [pro]: the same $0.04 everywhere. Each model page lists every provider: FLUX.1 schnell, FLUX.2 pro, FLUX1.1 pro, FLUX Kontext pro, Imagen 4, Imagen 4 Fast, Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.

How to choose

• Thousands of drafts, thumbnails, tests: FLUX.1 [schnell] - five cents for a hundred pictures.
• Good quality at a low price: FLUX.1 [dev] or Imagen 4 Fast.
• Editing a picture you already have: FLUX Kontext, Nano Banana or GPT Image 2.
• The best picture, price second: FLUX.2 [max], Imagen 4 Ultra or Nano Banana Pro - and compare the providers, the same model differs up to four times.

All prices are in USD per image unless the row says per token, without taxes, as the providers publish them; each card shows the source and the date it was checked.
