Video generation API pricing: Veo, Wan, Kling, Grok Imagine and Seedance at every provider
Updated Oct 27, 2026
Video models are sold differently from text models: most providers charge per second of finished video, not per token. A clip of 5 or 8 seconds is the usual request, so the price per second times the length is your bill for one clip. A few providers (ByteDance's own platform among them) price Seedance per million video tokens instead - those numbers cannot be compared with per-second ones directly. All the models below have a page with today's prices: all video models.
The price per second in one list
In the 26 October 2026 collection, per second of video:
- Veo 3.1 (Google) - $0.20 at Vercel, $0.32 at CometAPI, $0.40 at DeepInfra. Veo 3.1 Fast - $0.08 to $0.15; Veo 3.1 Lite - $0.03 at Vercel.
- Wan 2.6 (Alibaba) - $0.10 at Vercel and DeepInfra, the Flash version $0.05. Wan 2.7 - $0.10; Wan 3.0 - $0.20 at DeepInfra.
- Kling (Kuaishou) - v2.6 $0.07 and v3.0 $0.168 at Vercel; CometAPI sells "Kling Video" at $0.133.
- Grok Imagine Video (xAI) - $0.02 at xAI itself, $0.04 at CometAPI, $0.07 at Vercel. Version 1.5 is $0.14 at Vercel, 1.5 Lite $0.03.
- Seedance (ByteDance) - at Vercel v1.0 Pro Fast $0.0206, v1.5 Pro $0.0259, v1.0 Pro $0.0515 per second.
So the spread is wide: from about two cents a second (Seedance, Grok Imagine at xAI, Veo Lite) to forty cents (Veo 3.1 at DeepInfra) - twenty times over.
What one clip costs
Price per second times the length, by the 26 October prices:
- 8 seconds of Veo 3.1 - $1.60 at Vercel, $3.20 at DeepInfra; Veo 3.1 Fast brings it to $0.64-1.20.
- 5 seconds of Wan 2.6 - $0.50; of Wan 2.6 Flash - $0.25.
- 5 seconds of Kling v2.6 - $0.35; of Kling v3.0 - $0.84.
- 6 seconds of Grok Imagine Video - $0.12 at xAI.
- 5 seconds of Seedance v1.5 Pro - about $0.13. Resolution, sound and image-to-video can change the price - read the card of the offer before you plan a budget.
The same model, different providers
The model is the same; the price is not:
- Veo 3.1: DeepInfra charges twice Vercel's price.
- Grok Imagine Video: xAI's own price is the lowest, resellers add 2 to 3.5 times.
- Wan 2.6: Vercel and DeepInfra agree at $0.10. Each model page lists every provider: Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Fast, Wan 2.6, Wan 3.0, Kling v3.0, Grok Imagine Video, Seedance v1.5 Pro.
How to choose
- Drafts and many variations: Veo 3.1 Lite, Wan 2.6 Flash, Grok Imagine 1.5 Lite or Seedance - 2 to 5 cents a second.
- The best picture for a final cut: Veo 3.1 or Kling v3.0 - compare the providers first, the same model differs up to twice.
- Open weights you can also run yourself: Wan - 2.2, 2.6 and 3.0 are sold by several providers.
- A per-token price next to a per-second one: count the tokens of one of your own clips first, then compare.
All prices are in USD per second of video unless the row says otherwise, without taxes, as the providers publish them; each card shows the source and the date it was checked.
